Detroit is our second home. Prime AV runs a Michigan office in Troy, so we cover Detroit and the metro area with a local crew and our own equipment. From automotive and corporate programs to galas and conventions, we produce full-scale AV across the city and suburbs, and we know the region’s venues and load-in.

Why Metro Detroit teams choose us

With a Michigan office in Troy, we bring a local crew and our own gear to Detroit events, no brokering to a rental house the week of the show. We know the region’s convention halls, theaters, and suburban showplaces, and we handle transport, staging, and setup end to end.

Detroit venues we produce in

We produce events across Detroit and Metro Detroit:

What producing an event in metro Detroit actually involves

This is a home base, not a travel job. Metro Detroit is one of our two operating bases alongside Chantilly, Virginia, so crew and inventory are local rather than shipped in. That changes what we can commit to: in-person site visits before the date, gear staged nearby, and a replacement on the road quickly if something fails mid-show. A company flying a kit into Detroit cannot make that promise honestly.

Vehicle reveals are their own discipline. Product launches here often involve a car on a stage, and that brings problems most event crews never meet: floor loading for vehicle weight, a drive-on path that does not cross the audience, turntables and lift cues timed to the reveal moment, and lighting designed to flatter sheet metal rather than skin. Confidentiality is part of the build too, embargoed product means controlled access to the room during rehearsal, not just on show day.

Convention centre work runs under house labour rules. Huntington Place assigns rigging, electrical and freight to specific trades, so parts of any build go through house labour regardless of who is producing. We confirm the jurisdictions and book the labour calls before the design is locked, because those rules shape the schedule and the budget as much as the gear list does.

Michigan winter is a technical constraint, not just an inconvenience. Gear coming off a cold truck into a warm ballroom will condense, and powering up damp electronics is how equipment dies. We build acclimation time into the load-in, plan for snow and ice on the dock, and where events run outdoors we spec heated tenting and cold-weather generator starts rather than assuming the kit will behave.

Cultural celebrations are a real part of this market. Metro Detroit is home to one of the largest Arab communities in the country, and we produce those celebrations regularly, the zaffa entrance with drummers, a late programme that peaks after midnight, and sound and lighting built around the traditions rather than against them. That work is covered in more depth on our luxury wedding production page.

Yes. We produce reveals, town halls, sales meetings, and large corporate programs across the region.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Earlier is better for large programs, but we also take on last-minute and rapid-turnaround events.

Do you have crew and equipment based in Michigan?

Yes. Metro Detroit is one of our two operating bases alongside Chantilly, Virginia, so crew and inventory are local. That means site visits before the date, gear staged nearby and a fast replacement if something fails during the show.

Can you produce a vehicle reveal or product launch?

Yes, and it is a distinct build. We plan floor loading for vehicle weight, a drive-on path that keeps clear of the audience, turntable and lift cues timed to the reveal, and lighting designed for sheet metal. For embargoed product we also control room access through rehearsal, not just on the day.

Does winter weather affect a Michigan event build?

It affects the schedule more than the show. Equipment moved from a cold truck into a warm room condenses, so we build acclimation time into the load-in and plan for snow and ice at the dock. Outdoor events get heated tenting and cold-weather generator provisioning.
